2. There can be a reasonable argument as to if "Flowers" works as a legitimate Rolling Stones album. But I believe it does because the three songs that make their second appearance on a Stones record are bagged so naturally with the rest of the music. A point of interest: the album's artwork is the most telling in the Rolling Stones catalogue/5().

3. Jim from Binghamton, Ny I really don't care what the song pertains to, it is a great song performed by the great Rolling Stones. Raoul from Calumet City, Il "Dead Flowers" actually has to do with Keith's buddy Gram Parsons' wife sending him flowers while he was in England. By the time they tracked him down, the flowers were, of course, dead.

"Take It or Leave It" was originally issued by the Rolling Stones on the British version of Aftermath, though it had to wait more than another year to appear in the States, where it was included on the Flowers collection of hit singles and assorted leftovers. It's one of the more pop-folk-rock tunes on Aftermath, though it's way different from most pop-folk-rock in its sullen attitude.

6. “Take It Or Leave It” -- Buried on Side Two of the British Aftermath, it was a universal consensus that this flat, melody-free acoustic lament was the weakest track on that otherwise fine album. Naturally, it was given top priority for Flowers over other more worthy choices. I say, rip-off #5.
